Brisbane workshop for potential partners
Date: 27th March 2025
Time: 9.30am – 11.30pm (arrive from 9am)
Location: QUT Kelvin Grove: Room Q430, Level 4, Q Block, Corner of Blamey St and Musk Ave, Kelvin Grove
This workshop is one of a series being held around Australia that will deep dive into the challenges facing freight organisations and discuss pathways to resolve them. The delivery of identified solutions will be via an industry-led collaborative R&D centre – Future Freight Cooperative Research Centre (FFCRC).
To date the Future Freight CRC team has had in-depth conversations with 100+ stakeholders in the freight sector, many of whom are keen to partner with FFCRC to achieve their efficiency, sustainability and safety objectives. We are currently deepening and broadening this process to ensure we can offer benefits of the centre to as many organisations as possible.
The workshop discussion will explore different dimensions of challenges faced by freight companies and identify potential solutions. We will also consider how they can relate to each other to form a comprehensive program of work, a process that will continue as we hold further workshops around Australia.
Solutions can take many forms, and we are seeing strong interest in very applied activities such as technology development, demonstrations, proofs of concept, trials, as well as understanding key areas for policy development. Many of these approaches benefit from having multiple partners, a process that FFCRC specialises in coordinating.
While we encourage you to provide as much insight as possible, attendees are not asked to share any commercially sensitive information. Private discussions can also be arranged as required.
