FFCRC successful in reaching stage 2 for bid submission

Future Freight CRC selected to progress to Stage 2 of CRC Program Round 27

Thanks to the commitment and vision of our partners, oversight of the FFCRC Advisory Committee and the diligent work of the bid team, we are delighted to share that the Future Freight CRC has been selected to progress to Stage 2 of the CRC Program Round 27.

This is a major milestone and a strong endorsement of the national case we have built together, and we thank all our partners, FFCRC Advisory Committee and other stakeholders for their crucial support to get to this point.

Stage 2 is our opportunity to turn this strong platform into a compelling, fully integrated plan for delivery.

We will now work with partners to develop stage 2 elements, including preparing for the interview and providing more detail to the CRC Advisory Committee on areas raised in their feedback to us.

The Stage 2 application is due on 17 September 2026, followed by the interview with the CRC Advisory Committee in Canberra in November.

At a time when it is so urgently needed, Future Freight CRC remains a significant opportunity to create a national research and innovation platform capable of reshaping the future of Australian freight.

We thank our whole community for their commitment to this important initiative. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to develop the proposal further, and to establish the Centre in 2027 if successful in stage 2.
